What we do
Draft Line Cleaning Services
Every bar setup is different. We offer a free on-site visit to evaluate your system and give you a custom quote based on your number of taps, line length, and system type.
Bi-Weekly Routine Cleaning
Every 14 Days — Required by Pennsylvania Law & Brewers Association
The Brewers Association mandates line cleaning every 14 days. We use an electric recirculating pump to push a caustic alkaline cleaner through your system for a minimum of 15 minutes. This turbulent flow scrubs out organic proteins, hop resins, and sticky biofilms that build up inside your lines between cleanings.
We completely break down and hand-brush your faucets and keg couplers, finishing with a thorough cold water flush and pH test to confirm all cleaning solution has been removed before beer flows again.
According to the Pennsylvania Code (40 Pa. Code § 5.51), beer lines in Pennsylvania are required to be cleaned every 14 days to leave the entire beverage dispensing system in a clean, sanitary condition and prevent the harmful accumulation of yeast, mold, and bacteria. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) mandates that licensees must clean the entire system—including dispensing lines, valves, joints, couplers, and faucets—at their sole expense. Furthermore, establishments are strictly required to keep detailed cleaning records on file for inspection by the PLCB or the State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
- Full recirculating pump clean — minimum 15 minutes contact time
- Caustic alkaline solution at correct concentration
- Faucet and coupler full disassembly and hand-brushing
- Cold water flush with pH meter verification
- Written cleaning log issued and logged every visit
Quarterly Acid Cleaning
Every 90 Days — Brewers Association Draught Quality Standard
Four times a year, we run a specialized acid cleaner through your system. This targets beer stone — calcium oxalate — a hard, inorganic mineral buildup that forms inside your lines from the calcium and acids in beer. Standard caustic cleaners can't touch it.
Getting rid of beer stone keeps your lines flowing properly and stops permanent off-tastes before they start. If you've never had an acid clean, the difference in pour quality is usually immediate.
- Acid cleaner formulated to dissolve calcium oxalate (beer stone)
- Removes buildup that bi-weekly alkaline cleaning cannot reach
- Prevents permanent line degradation and flavor contamination
- Follows Brewers Association Draught Quality Manual protocols
- Written report and documentation included
